Strength
Major Arcana · card 9 of 78 · patience, quiet strength, holding, conviction
Upright meaning
Strength shows a figure calmly closing a lion's mouth with her bare hands, no leverage involved. This is the card of conviction that does not post about itself: holding through the drawdown because the thesis is intact, reading the terrible headline twice and buying lunch instead of selling the position. The lion is the market's daily invitation to panic. Strength declines the invitation — gently, repeatedly, without needing the lion to stop roaring. Endurance here is not stubbornness. It is the difference between an opinion and a position.
Market notes
Pairs with volatile stretches survived, drawdowns that later recover, high-conviction holds, and stocks whose daily noise exceeds their monthly signal. Read against a 30-day trend that is flat-to-recovering beneath loud daily `changePercent` swings. This card describes the holder more than the stock — say so.
In the spread
In a past, present, future spread, this card takes the meaning of its seat: what has already happened, what is happening now, or which way the story leans. The position changes the tense. The card does not change its mind.
