Upright meaning
The King of Swords faces forward, sword upright, the posture of a man whose process has an appendix. He is analytical authority: the rules-based system that trades the plan and not the mood, the risk framework that survived its own drawdowns, judgment so consistent it appears automated and is not. Where the Knight charges and the Queen cuts, the King legislates — position sizes, entry criteria, the conditions under which he is wrong, written down in advance where feelings cannot edit them.
