Upright meaning
The apprentice carves pentacle after pentacle, each slightly better than the last, six hung up and two to go before anyone calls it a body of work. The Eight of Pentacles is the grind that compounds: the company iterating its margin a basis point at a time, the investor journaling every trade, mastery assembled from repetitions too small to tweet. No single coin here matters; the sequence is the asset. Markets misprice diligence chronically because it never announces itself — it just shows up, again, holding a slightly better coin.
