Seven of Pentacles

Pentacles · card 71 of 78 · patience audit, mid cycle review, compounding watch, leaning on the hoe

Seven of Pentacles tarot card

Upright meaning

The farmer leans on his hoe, studying the pentacle bush he planted, performing the mid-cycle review known to every long-term holder: is this compounding, or am I just old now? The Seven of Pentacles is patience with a clipboard — the honest assessment of a position given time, where the question is not "has it grown" but "is it growing at the rate that justified the wait." Both answers are respectable. The card only bans the third option: leaning on the hoe indefinitely, calling the lean a strategy.

Market notes

Pairs with long-held positions under review, compounding checkpoints, theses aging toward verdicts, and growth measured against original expectations. Read the 30-day trend as one data point in a much longer crop cycle. Deliver the audit: rate achieved versus rate required.

In the spread

In a past, present, future spread, this card takes the meaning of its seat: what has already happened, what is happening now, or which way the story leans. The position changes the tense. The card does not change its mind.
