Upright meaning
Two figures pass through snow beneath a lit stained-glass window, outside an abundance that is technically within reach. The Five of Pentacles is the hard stretch: the drawdown endured in real time, the investor watching a rally from cash, the company shut out of credit markets at the exact moment it needs them. Material hardship, honestly drawn — this suit does not euphemize winter. But the card's oldest detail is the window: lit, near, unentered. Help, refinancing, re-entry — the door is usually closer than the snow makes it look.
